Millport and Spalding Conservancies Teaching & Research Notification Form
The Millport Conservancy is available for field trips, research, student projects, and more. The College is a partner in the Conservancy and we hope to utilize it for our educational purposes in many areas of the curriculum. The Conservancy is an 85-acre tract about eleven miles from campus. Facilities include the seminar room with wireless Internet and bathroom, the old mill, hiking trails through woods and meadows, and an award-winning restored trout stream. Anyone from the College who wishes to conduct classes or research activities at the Conservancy should provide the information requested below to inform the Millport Liaison and the College Field Based Research and Teaching Committee. The information you provide will be valuable to other users of the Conservacy and will ensure there are no conflicts or other concerns related to your proposed activities.
The Spalding Conservancy is a 45 acre property owned by the College, located ~1 mile from campus. It is available for faculty and student research field trips, and coursework. The property consists of a recovering woodland, meadow, wetland and small stream. It is adjacent to the Little Conestoga River.
